Police Killings Not White VS Black Issue, It Is Good VS Evil

Christmas in the City - The Rose Theatre
Remember the reason for the season!
Don't be fooled!  Divide and Conquer - this is how  the "Adversary" is using the police beatings and killings in America to pit people against each other, and this is exactly what the "Devil" or "Adversary" wants.  I have long held the position that one cannot legislate love, so as long as there are people who are enveloped in hate, bitterness and anger there will be people who will ignore the law because they are driven not by the desire to do good or to be good but by their internal state of hate.  The fact that the "powers that be" will support them, protect them only embolden them and this is what we have been seeing lately.  Cops that have poor personal decorum, poor training and people skills and blatant disregard for the humanity of some of the citizens they are paid to serve and protect.

On Friday December 5th, after seeing headline after headline of police beating videos that I decided I have had enough.  I will not watch another one, I will immediately turn away when I see such a headline.  Not because I do not care, but because I care enough about the human race to realize what is going one here.  Then and there, I decided I would do this blog post.  I didn't get it started because I have been busy with other things.

I went to church today with my friend Pat (white) and as I sat there enjoying the service and observing the congregation (primarily white) my mind went back to when I first moved to the suburban city of Brampton on the outskirts of Toronto. The entire blog post streamed through my mind and I purposed it in my heart that as soon as I got home I would get it done. The majority of people I have encountered in my lifetime have been goodhearted, kind, loving, helpful people, and I know the same if true for almost everyone.  Why then, do we continue to beat down our fellow man and fill the planet with the negative messages like "people are no good" etc. etc.  Yes, there are some bad people, but with over 7 billion people on the planet if a half of one percent is really, really bad why are we saying all people are bad?

I attended a community church headed Caucasians and majority of the congregation were Caucasians.  My neighbours were white.  I had nothing but great experiences and could not have chosen a better community to raise my children.  When my car broke down be in on the highway or just a side street, usually the first person to come to my aid is a white person.  So for me to see all this controversy, read all these Facebook posts and listen to personal discussions and not say anything to contribute positively to this fiasco would be a travesty.  As my father used to say, if you know better, you do better.

There is urgency here, this is too important to delay because the "Adversary" or "Devil" is busy at work poisoning the minds of people all across the globe because the toxic police/injustice situations happening across the United States of America.  What you see on video or cable news is not a true representation of the people of this great nation, but the images and the hype of cable news will lead you to believe thus.  If you consume too much of this you run the risk of becoming jaded, bitter and even hateful.  Of course, this is exactly what the "Devil" wants.

Am I saying there is no problem, absolutely not, but what we have to be mindful of is not to use the minute percentage of people to judge and castigate the majority.  We always have to be careful not to fall into the trap of being guilty of what we accuse other people of.  Is the system broken, yes - totally agree!  That is why I have been repeating every opportunity I get that policing has to FUNDAMENTALLY change.  The legal/justice system has to change.  There is no way countries like U.S.A. and Canada can continue to call themselves advanced societies, bastions of human rights and the like and have policing, legal and judicial systems were some citizens are elevated and some are not even considered human!  In this respect, the MENTALLY ILL, the UNARMED BLACKS and everyone who have been mistreated and or killed by law enforcement have not suffered or died in vain.  They, in their suffering/death are catalyst for the changes that needed to happen, and will now happen because they lived, and died.

My prayers and compassion are with all the loved ones of all individuals who have died or suffered physically and indignity at the hands of hateful policemen, or policemen who have not been afforded adequate/proper training to respond to some parts of their job and therefore reacted using reflex rather than tactical skills.

We are one human race, let us remember in the words of my fellow Jamaican Bob Marley "One Love"!
