Black In America 5 + This & That

Today, was an easy going day.  I had a chance to check in to the Essence Hangout on Google+.  Was interesting listing to the speakers and reading the comments.  This is a topic that certainly has a lot of depth and now the theme of the docs has reached a junction which has not much been discussed publicly.  Wont elaborate much tonight as it's past my bedtime but will definitely revisit.

Today though I got a change to think how lucky/blessed I am to be in the business that I do!  It's holiday time and I when to get a couple of pointsettas for my elderly client I would visit, I just love that.  We we had a great visit, talked a little  bit about her Irish heritage, she's really just a wonderful person with a great life story and for me to have the privilige of interacting with so many people from such diverse backgrounds is just fabulous.

Want to hear something interesting about this special lady?  She now 85yrs old,  got cancer few years ago and recovered.  The interesting part - her hair grew back, but instead of grey hair like she had before, it grew back brown!  And even today, which is about 4-5yrs since her recovery, her hair is as thick and brown as a young woman, and she look so amazing, like a lady in early 6o's!  Life is full of unexpected and unexplainable occurances.
